Wendy Kayler-Thomson is a partner of Forte Family Lawyers and has practised exclusively in family law since 1993.

Wendy is an Accredited Family Law Specialist. In addition to a Bachelor degree in Law, Wendy has a Bachelor degree in Commerce. She also holds a Masters degree in Law, specialising in aspects of family law.

Wendy is a trained mediator and a trained collaborative family lawyer.

Wendy is the elected representative of Victorian solicitors on the Executive committee of the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia, the peak representative body for family lawyers in Australia. In that role she has been actively involved many of the Executive’s activities including the development of the Essentials of Family Law Practice training program for new family lawyers, submissions to the Commonwealth Government on changes to family law and regular meetings with representatives of the Commonwealth Attorney-General’s department and the Courts.

Wendy is also an elected member of the Executive Committee Family Law Section of the Law Institute of Victoria.

Wendy regularly presents at conferences and seminars on a variety of family law topics. Wendy frequently presents the Family Court case-watch audio program for TV Ed, a monthly update for family lawyers around Australia about new and important decisions of the Family Court.
