Maria has a Bachelor of Arts with Honours (in classical literature), and a Bachelor of Laws.
Maria was admitted to practice in 2002 and has practised in family law since that time. Maria was appointed an Associate of Forte Family Lawyers in August 2008.
In 2008 Maria gained admission to the Victorian panel of Independent Children’s Lawyers.
She is a member of the Family Law Section of the Law Institute of Victoria and the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia.
Maria has frequently appeared as a solicitor advocate before the Family Court, Federal Magistrates Court, Magistrates' Court and the County Court.
