Jacky has been working in family law for over 20 years. She has been Accredited as a Specialist in Family Law with the Law Institute of Victoria since 1991. Jacky is a trained collaborative lawyer. She completed a Master of Laws at Monash University. Her thesis was on the relationship of bankruptcy and family law.
Jacky received the Law Institute of Victoria Rogers Legal Writing Award 2004 - for the article "Splitting the Super … and Selling the Home."
Jacky is the consultant editor of CCH Australian Family Law and Practice and contributing author to CCH Australian Family Law and Practice to the Property, Spousal Maintenance, Financial Agreements, Maintenance Agreements, Procedure and Precedents tabs. She is co-author of the property chapter in the CCH Australian Master Family Law Guide. She is the author of the family law chapter in Thomson Australian Financial Planning Handbook.
Jacky helps keep lawyers up to date by presenting Casewatch on the Television Education Network's audio program and is a regular presenter for the Television Education Network. She speaks at seminars for lawyers including at the Law Institute of Victoria. She co-presents with a financial planner for the Leo Cussen Institute at regular workshops on family law and superannuation.
Jacky is a Member of the Maintenance and Property Committee of the Family Law Section of the Law Institute of Victoria, a member of the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia, a Fellow of the International Academy of the Matrimonial Lawyers and an Associate of the American Bar Association.
